Chayei Sarah: How To Get A Good Spouse https://youtu.be/QMEr7FFT7o4
The Chasam Sofer darshens on 28:16 -אָנֹכִי "Anochi" as referring to selfishness. Where is G-d, אָכֵן יֵשׁ ה׳ בַּמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה? Where there is no selfishness There seems to be a contradiction between two expressions about women. One one hand we have "מוֹצֵא אִשָּׁה מָצָא טוֹב" in Proverbs 18:22 "If you find a woman, you have found good." On the other hand we have in Ecclesiastes 7:26 "I have found the women more bitter than death." Which is it?
Listen to find out what makes the difference between a good wife and a bitter wife.
