Rabbi Zev Leff is back!
After a very busy Chag, and despite having suffered a leg injury last week
that has kept him away from shul, beit midrash, and the many in-person
shiurim he gives, Rav Leff is back giving his weekly Wednesday shiur. You
can't keep a good man down, they say. But let's daven for a refuah shlaima
and continued strength and good health for Zev Yaakov Moshe ben Chaya.
This weekly shiur in *halacha *and *hashkafa *starts at 8:50 p.m. Israel
time, every Wednesday. *NOTE THAT THE CLOCKS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CHANGED IN
ISRAEL*. So the shiur is at *2:50 pm EST.*
The shiur is broadcast via Zoom, which means that it can be accessed
worldwide and free of charge, by Internet or phone. Please let others know
whom you think might be interested. Consider posting it on your community
email lists and WhatsApp groups.
We are currently learning the laws between Man and his fellow, followed by
an in-depth study of the sefer "Even Shlayma". This sefer offers profound
philosophical insights into character development, based on the teachings
of the Vilna Gaon. Rabbi Leff has the gift of being able to present these
complex halachic and philosophical concepts, in a organized, clear way.
The shiur has an informal, community feel to it. The Rav is sitting at
home, in his salon, with the Rebbetzin listening in the background. This
more intimate setting makes the shiur especially enjoyable.
